Sales pipelines and stages

Your stages, their odds and their colours, the way your team sells.

Illustration · Adding a stage with its probability
On this page 6 sections
In short
  • Every pipeline has open stages, then Won and Lost.
  • Add, rename, reorder or hide stages. Set each stage's probability.
  • Only admins change pipelines.

Where: Settings → Sales pipelines (admins)

A pipeline is the list of stages a deal goes through (see Sales words). Ordo starts with one pipeline: Discovery, Proposal, Negotiation, Won and Lost.

Try it

In Ordo
  1. Settings
  2. Sales pipelines
  3. Add a stage

Changes apply when you click Save stages.

How it works

  • Open stages: add one, rename it, put them in order with ↑ ↓, or hide one this pipeline doesn't use. When you rename a stage, its deals move with it.
  • Delete a stage: you can delete a stage only when no deal is in it.
  • Probability: each open stage has a probability. A deal takes it when it enters the stage.
  • Colour: click the dot next to a stage. Choose a colour, or any other colour from the rainbow. A stage has the same colour in every pipeline.
  • Won and Lost: always stay. They end the deal and count in the dashboards.

More than one pipeline

For example, one for new customers and one for renewals. Click Add pipeline. A new pipeline starts with the usual stages and probabilities. You can change them after. One pipeline is the default for new deals. You can't delete a pipeline that still has deals.

Good to know

  • In Chinese, the built-in stage names show in the reader's language, unless you renamed them.

Questions

Can I rename the stages?

Yes. An admin renames them in Settings → Sales pipelines. The deals move with the stage.

Can I have more than one pipeline?

Yes. Add one for each way you sell, for example new business and renewals.
